My friend Brian, a fabulous illustrator, asked why there are so many vampires on tv. Maybe it is because vampires do represent the human spirit, sipping on blood for life like bugs do (like cyborgs don't). I fell asleep watching Avatar, the biggest movie of all time, twice, but not once during the Superbowl (the biggest tv show of all time). Which was won by the Saints, who are practically vampires. How else could a franchise comes to life after 43 years. Part vampires, part ice-cold ninjas.
